This blog, we hope, will become a place that will encourage, inspire, and equip you and your family to build a legacy of faith to pass down from one generation to the next. After all, it’s the most important thing our families could ever do. We really believe that. We also believe that the Bible teaches that the family is the context in which we do life and through which we teach and learn about faith (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).

The goal is for us is to build a community, so please interact with ideas, share your stories…let’s laugh, let’s get creative, and let’s get to know each other. We hope to post a few times each week. There will be an opportunity for you to share your thoughts or ideas with every post.

Writers & Contributors:

Andy Wilbanks: I am the minister of children at Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover, AL. I have a passion to see families not only survive, but thrive together the way God intended. I am married to Lindsay and we have three children, Cade, Ruthie and Sam.  Life Along the Road was a dream of mine to champion the idea of family and create an online community where we could share ideas, thoughts, stories, and resources that will help our families thrive. I am a pastor’s son, a graduate of Samford University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I have served in Children’s Ministry since 2006. I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, photography, reading, watching sports, and ice cream.

Tammie Howard: I have served as the Children’s Ministry Assistant at Hunter Street Baptist Church for the last 8 years. I have been married to my husband Kasey for twenty years.  We have a 13-year-old son, Coleton, and almost 16-year-old daughter Katelyn. (she is counting the days down!) I also work part time in the advertising field and have a Master’s in Communication from the University of Alabama. I enjoy writing, photography, reading and hanging with my family!
